The German Embassy Belgrade is happy to announce its call for Project and Event Proposals pertaining to the Defense of Human Rights for 2027. We welcome you to submit your project proposal until 23 October 2026 to pol-2@belg.diplo.de

Please be advised of the following eligibility criteria:
•    Project Proposals should be formulated in English and include a budget overview
•    Funding volume for projects: 50.000 €- 65.000 €
•    Funding volume for Events: up to 10.000 €
•    Project Starting date January 1st, 2027, Wrap Up by late November 2027

Thematic areas eligible for funding:

1) Protection of threatened human rights defenders, commitment to the rule of law and democracy
2) Accountability and transitional justice
3) TNR – Transnational Repression
4) Freedom of religion and belief
5) WPS Resolution 1325: Women, Peace and Security, including sexual violence in armed conflict
6) Equality, non-discrimination, threatened minorities, vulnerable groups
7) Abolition of the death penalty
8) Defense of the international human rights architecture
